{"id":814,"date":"2014-10-23T12:59:29","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T17:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.popartsplace.net\/now\/?p=814"},"modified":"2014-10-23T19:11:49","modified_gmt":"2014-10-24T00:11:49","slug":"melissa-the-teenage-witch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.popartsplace.net\/now\/2014\/10\/23\/melissa-the-teenage-witch\/","title":{"rendered":"Melissa the Teenage Witch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Sabrina<\/em> &amp; Joey&#8230; oh wait, perhaps ABC Family got a little confused this Halloween, or maybe the writers of <em>Melissa &amp; Joey<\/em> were having a lot of fun as they put together the Halloween episode that entertained fans this week, complete with a guest appearance by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0110803\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beth Broderick<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Melissa &amp; Joey<\/em> is a sitcom that often gets overlooked, perhaps because it is off the mainstream network path, but ABC Family has several quality family programs on their hands, and <em>Melissa &amp; Joey<\/em> may well be the strongest and most entertaining of their sitcoms.<\/p>\n<p>With a variety of ABC Family&#8217;s\u00a0programs offering up special Christmas themed episodes this year, <em>Melissa &amp; Joey<\/em> opted for a Halloween themed one, and turning back to Melissa Joan Hart&#8217;s teenage roots as a witch on <em>Sabrina the Teenage Witch<\/em> was an excellent choice. \u00a0In the past they have danced, reminding fans of both Melissa and Joey Lawrence of their turns on <em>Dancing With The Stars<\/em>, and Joey&#8217;s trademark &#8220;whoa&#8221; (from <em>Blossom<\/em>) even popped out in the Halloween episode.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sabrina &amp; Joey&#8230; oh wait, perhaps ABC Family got a little confused this Halloween, or maybe the writers of Melissa &amp; Joey were having a lot of fun as they put together the Halloween episode that entertained fans this week, complete with a guest appearance by Beth Broderick.
