Such a well written scene! Even if you aren’t currently watching Grey’s Anatomy, this is a two and a half minute scene worth checking out, and thinking about.

Grey’s Anatomy | Amelia and Maggie Discuss Race
ABC.GO.COM

Amelia is concerned Edwards thinks she’s racist because she chose to believe Jo, someone she barely knows, when Jo said Edwards was lying about having sickle cell as a child. Amelia explains the situation to Maggie, and asks for her opinion. Maggie asks if Stephanie said she was okay, and Amelia acknowledges she did. “Okay, then don’t give her the extra work of having to make you feel good about it,” Maggie advises Amelia. Later she adds, “I’m glad that you feel like you can talk to me about it. But, I don’t speak for all black people. I am not the spokeswoman, no one is.” Watch this scene from Season 12, Episode 7, “Something Against You,” and don’t miss Grey’s Anatomy THURSDAYS 8|7c on ABC.
